Meet Shannon.
Hi, I’m Shannon Huffman Polson, author of The Grit Factor: Courage, Resilience and Leadership in the Most Male Dominated Origination in the World. I wore the Army uniform for a decade as one of the first women to fly the Apache helicopter in the U.S. Army, leading line units on three continents, before transitioning through my MBA at the Tuck School at Dartmouth and leading outstanding teams in the corporate world as well in the medical device industry and at Microsoft.
My first book, North of Hope: A Daughter’s Arctic Journey takes you through a very personal journey of grit and resilience. In The Grit Factor, I gather input from not only my own story, but the stories, lessons and tactical applications of dozens of other leaders in their fields.
