Hi, I’m Shannon Huffman Polson, author of The Grit Factor: Courage, Resilience and Leadership in the Most Male Dominated Origination in the World. I wore the Army uniform for a decade as one of the first women to fly the Apache helicopter in the U.S. Army, leading line units on three continents, before transitioning through my MBA at the Tuck School at Dartmouth and leading outstanding teams in the corporate world as well in the medical device industry and at Microsoft.
My first book, North of Hope: A Daughter’s Arctic Journey takes you through a very personal journey of grit and resilience. In The Grit Factor, I gather input from not only my own story, but the stories, lessons and tactical applications of dozens of other leaders in their fields. This is what I offer to clients through world class keynotes and executive education in grit and resilience, purpose and storytelling.
The Grit Manifesto is your short cut— though you still need to do the work! I created it for you, because I know I need reminders when things get tough. We all do.
But I hope you’ll find it also a source of inspiration, that will lead you to getting your own copy of The Grit Factor, and listening to and sharing The Grit Factor Podcast as well (and more excerpts on Youtube!).
